Labour Day on the Green

Join us on Monday 8 March for Labour Day on the Green! It's a family friendly event and entry is free!
Our online booking system enables you to book rinks/lanes for free so you don't miss out. If bowls does't interest you, we also have drinks at members prices all day, Burgerchiefs food truck, and free tennis door. Feel free to stay for as long as you like, whether it be all day or for a short time. If you're not bowling you don't need to book and can turn up at anytime.
Find out everything you need to know about the event below. If you have any other questions you can send us an email. If you can't come you can make a group booking for another day for $10 per person on the Bookings page.
Barefoot Bowls
Instead of the usual $10 per person we're offering barefoot bowls for free. All equipment (bowls, mats, jacks) is supplied and a rink/s will be allocated to you. Group bookings are now open for two hour blocks - 12.00-2.00pm, 2.00-4.00pm, and 4.00-6.00pm. If these times don't suit and you want to come earlier or later, email barefootbowling@gmail.com and we'll see what we can do. Due to a high number of bookings we might have to squeeze large groups in so everyone gets to play, and members of your group might have to take turns.
Most people choose to go barefoot, but you can keep your shoes on if they're flat. Specific rinks will be allocated to all groups who book, just check at the bar when you arrive. The aim of the game is to get as close to the small white or yellow ball (called a jack or kitty) as possible.
Tennis
Our neighbours Wattle Social Tennis Club will be holding a Come and Try Open Afternoon from 1.00-5.00pm. Members will be on hand to welcome anyone who would like to check out the courts and have a hit of tennis. Balls and racquets will be supplied, just wear reasonably flat soled shoes (as for the bowls). Even if you've never played tennis before, you are welcome to go over and get some tips and simple coaching. See this flyer for more information on the club.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call or text Malcolm on 0413 959 979 or email wattletennisclub@gmail.com
